Many have grown up in a family that was less than perfect and lacked the love, nurture, and care that was needed in order to fully thrive in life. As a result unhealthy coping mechanism skills are developed.
In our family therapy program we bring members of the family together to work through past wounds and bring healing to the places that are keeping them from living fully. Participants will engage in sessions that explore underlying issues in order to foster understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness.
Chances for recovery are increased by the participation of the client’s family/support circle in this program. For that reason we ask all clients to encourage their support system to be involved in their recovery. Family/support system involvement is an essential part of recovery because the addict/recovering person is a part of a larger family system which, in itself, may be in need of healing.
